You are what you...

A Sabbatical is not compete without some wisdom from other saints. I decided to take only four books with me while in Sabbatical.

Two of the books where suggested last semester by one of my professors ( Dr. Dean Blevins) at seminary ( NTS) and two book will be apart of the classes I am taking this coming Fall.

Today, I began to read James Smith's book "You are what you love." The title is what stood out to me. In the past I read a book called "You are what you think" and another called "You are what you eat". It will be interesting to see how Smith can unveil for me the spiritual power of habit.

Stan Toller wrote a book called " The power of your mind", after reading it, it made so much sense to me. Ever since then I believe what we think it is vital to our spiritual walk with the Lord but I also believe there must be an intense connection from the mind to the heart. Both, heart ( what we love) and mind ( what we think) should be aligned with God's will and God's purpose for us.

Back in the kitchen: I don't have a picture but I made for my nephews,  American Grill Cheese. This was the first time they ever had it. They loved it so much, now I have to teach their mama to make it for them.

Praises & Prayer requests:

Today I praise God for Philly Teen Camp. My son Everett came back today. I also want to praise God for Ally Schaffer, she got baptized at teen camp by our summer intern and ENC Student Jadon Derr and my prayers are with Allyson Miles and the rest of her family for the loss of  a very close friend and adopted grandma to the her girls.
