Day 2- Newark to Iceland/ Iceland to Munich, Germany
In my college years I would have said that " I love to travel and see the world", now I would say "Traveling with kids it is hard work". My youngest son Martin ( 8 years old) is a very active, busy, curious, intelligent super outgoing kids, that loves to travel to see his Momo ( my mom) and his cousins in Munich. He is enjoying every detail of the trip, and follows all instructions carefully. He watched movies, moved around, played games, drank way to much apple juice and eat a very expensive sandwich that I didn't want to buy. He fell asleep 50 minutes before the plane landed in Munich. In other words, in 24 hours he had his eyes closed 50 minutes. Now you can probably picture how the rest of the day went. Think- tired, grumpy, super excited, stubborn, bossy, very chatty. My older sister Ramona and her husband Ionica and their three sons, Marcu, Filip and Kevin have lived in Munich for 13 years. Even thought each child was born in Romania they love it here, this is their home and I truly believe it will always be their main home. We ate my favorite Turkish sandwich, shopped, Tusa Ramo as Martin called her, spoiled my boy with toys and chocolate and of course with an awesome pair of shoes for me.
